A southern California native, Darren graduated from the Harvard-Westlake School. Darren then attended The University of Texas at Austin, earning his Bachelors in Business Administration and Masters in Professional Accounting in 1999, and Loyola Law School where he received his Juris Doctorate in 2002. Darren has been honored as a "Super Lawyers Rising Star" from 2010-2016. He has also been named and honored as a "Super Lawyer" in 2017, 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2024.
Darren has been practicing law since 2002. Since 2004, he has focused almost exclusively on representing employees, primarily wage-and-hour class actions. During his career, Darren has litigated over 100 wage-and-hour class action lawsuits as lead or co-lead counsel, including several in the Central, Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of California. Darren has also successfully litigated numerous matters involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination. Additionally, Darren has experience resolving business disputes and contract claims.
